ATO is looking for feedback on its PLS dashboard

Updated: Jun 4, 2019

The ATO has developed a practitioner lodgment service (PLS) dashboard to provide information on how the PLS is performing. The dashboard is in a public beta phase, which lets ATO operatives test and make improvements based on user feedback before it is made fully available.

Tax practitioners — basically the people who will be making most use of PLS — have an opportunity to let the ATO know what they think. Practitioners are encouraged to have a look at the PLS Dashboard beta, which is based on a “traffic light” system similar to the tax agent and BAS agent portal dashboards.

The beta PLS dashboard reports the results of the ATO’s internal transaction testing of PLS, both single and batch. As you use the dashboard, the ATO asks that you provide feedback in relation to what the dashboard is reporting compared to your actual experience. It says this will enable it to calibrate services to accurately reflect changes in performance.

The dashboard tells you at a glance whether the PLS is functioning normally or is experiencing problems. This is real-time data sourced directly from ATO monitoring systems.

Participants can follow the feedback link at the bottom of the page to let the ATO know:

if the dashboard suits your needswhat you like or dislike about the dashboardyour suggestions to improve the look and feel.

It says the opportunity to provide feedback will be available for a limited time.
